1970′s film demonstrating protein synthesis through group dance

This is very cute and funny. Directed in 1971 by Stanford Chemistry Professor Robert Allen Weiss, it shows the various processes of protein synthesis conducted as a group dance, with all the hallmarks of the free love era and hippies included.

Descendants — a short animated film

I just watched one of the most gorgeous CG animated films of all time. Descendants is a story about a flower that falls in love with a deer. There is a villain in the story voiced sumptuously by Whoopie Goldberg. The story is a variation on the them “a bird may love a fish, but where will they live?” The ending is a bit ambiguous, but still pretty wonderful.
